Rabe Origin[1]
The name RABE is derived from an Old-German personal name, which meant "raven."

First found in Austria, where the name was anciently associated with the tribal conflicts of the area.
Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: Kilian Rab, who sailed to America in 1709. Among the many to follow this first settler were: Christoff Rabe, who sailed to Philadelphia in 1734; Conrad Raber to Philadelphia in 1746.
Rabe Coat of Arms Before an artist or craftsman can render a Coat of Arms, it must exist. In other words the arms must have been designed and recorded by the heralds from time immemorial. Therefore, to the heraldic artist it presents a formidable challenge, whilst he may enjoy considerable freedom within certain limits. The objects in the arms, crest and supporters, their colours and dispositions may not be altered.
